Spain is one of the world's most popular holiday destinations. Modern Spain has developed into a popular destination of cultural tourism due to its historical importance, especially cities like Seville , Cordoba , Granada and Toledo.

Cultural tourism is concentrated around the two biggest cities of Spain: the capitalMadrid and Barcelona, both with great historical importance. In addition, there are other important cultural places in Spain, including several cities in northern Spain.

Spain is a great destination for nature and rural tourism with its natural beauty where you can enjoy walks and excursions throughout one of the national parks with extensive wetlands, coastal dunes and mountain peaks. If you are into watersports, most beach resorts have plenty to offer from scuba diving, windsurfing, paragliding and pedalos.

In Latin America the main language spoken is Spanish, the culture and traditions are strongly influenced by Spain and many of the cities have buildings, including churches and cathedrals, which could just as well be found in Spain.

Among the most popular destinations for a Spanish holiday in Latin America are Mexico, the Caribbean, Peru, Argentina and Chile, but also the US states of Florida and California should be included on the list since a majority of the population is Spanish speaking and the two states in many ways form part of Latin America.
